Chapter 3 The Attacked Wizard Ship
Chapter 3 The Attacked Wizard Ship
The wizard Nova remained silent for a long while after seeing the result before saying, "It seems that things are indeed as you said."
"However, even if it is really as you say, I'm afraid I can't change the outcome."
Wizard Nova shook his head and said, "In fact, every wizard on a wizarding ship regards the young wizards on board as their future students."
"Therefore, they will determine whether these people are qualified based on their own evaluation standards."
When Leo heard this, he couldn't help but frown, feeling extremely unlucky to have run into a wizard like Ryan.
However, Leo then realized a crucial point and said, "My lord wizard, would you be willing to take me as your student?"
According to Nova, he should also be able to take on students.
Nova met Leo's expectant gaze and said, "I'm sorry, I can't. I already have enough students. This trip is just a formality. Only Ryan is here to take on students. Besides..."
"Since you were eliminated by Ryan, there's no way I can take you on as my student; that would put me at odds with Ryan."
Nova calmly stated a harsh truth: "I don't think you're worth that much."
"However, a wizarding prospect with a level 3 talent in mental power is still a good prospect for the Tower of Dawn. Besides, you have also shown commendable talent in potion-making. It would be a bit of a waste to send you back to the mainland just like that."
"Alright, after we send them back to the mainland, you will come with me to the Tower of Dawn. There, you might find a wizard willing to take you as a student."
Leo felt like his mood was on a rollercoaster.
Although the result wasn't entirely satisfactory, for Leo, as long as he didn't return to the continent ruled by the Socratic Empire, it was a good outcome.
Leo bowed and said, "Thank you for your help, Wizard."
Nova glanced at Leo's silver, tousled hair and then said, "However, I must remind you, Mr. Leo Danville. There are quite a few wizards in the Tower of Dawn who harbor hostility and disgust towards the Pros."
Upon hearing this, Leo asked in astonishment, "Why?"
Leo was a little confused. Although the Pros were indeed called barbarians, the reason they got that name was because of their strong physique.
But this kind of strong physique is nothing to a wizard, right?
Nova said, "Many Pros have gone to the Tower of Dawn in the past, but many of them eventually left the Tower of Dawn, and some even became enemies of the Tower of Dawn."
"Compared to the Tower of Dawn's strong enthusiasm for an academic atmosphere, the Pros are more interested in fighting, killing, destruction, and plundering."
Leo remained silent.
Based on his predecessor's memories, Leo felt that this was indeed very much in line with the brain circuits of the Pros, just like the Pros youth who was killed by the wizard Ryan.
Even knowing the wizard's power, they still couldn't help but attack.
The small boat soon arrived at the dock.
After seeing the others off, the small boat set sail again.
Leo asked, "My lord wizard, are we going to catch up with the wizard's ship next?"
Nova shook his head, smiled mysteriously, and said, "Danville, I'm going to show you something interesting."
As soon as Nova finished speaking, the ship began to rock slightly.
Immediately afterwards, a pair of white bird feathers sprouted from the ship.
"What...what is this?!"
Leo was surprised; this was the second time he had witnessed the wizard's extraordinary power.
Nova said, "It's just some trivial wizard apprentice spell."
Driven by these enormous bird feathers, the small boat seemed to transform into a bird soaring through the air.
The waves crashed against the rocks.
A medium-sized sailboat soared into the harbor.
The sailboat gradually descended.
"Danville, welcome to the Tower of Dawn," the wizard Nova said with a smile.
Leo still had a little sweat on his forehead.
The wizard apprentice's spells cast by Nova, along with the mental stimulation from flying at high altitudes, kept Leo in a state of tension throughout.
Once they landed at the port, Leo finally came to his senses. He looked around and said, "This is the Tower of Dawn..."
In Leo's view, this place was much like an ordinary port, except that people wearing white robes could be seen walking around everywhere.
Leo asked, "Lord Nova, are all these people in white robes wizards like you?"
"No," Nova replied with a smile, "Many of these people are students who haven't become wizards yet. However, the students who come here seem to really like the uniform style we wizards wear."
Nova said, "Come with me."
Leo didn't ask any questions and followed behind Nova.
Nova led Leo to the north side of the port.
On the north side of the port, there were many people dressed in various styles.
Among them, Leo also saw Ryan and the people from the wizard's ship.
"It seems this is where the wizard ships gathered when they returned."
Leo thought to himself.
Nova led Leo all the way to Ryan.
Upon seeing Nova, Ryan gave a slight bow and said, "Senior Nova."
When Ryan noticed Leo next to Nova, he subtly revealed a look of disgust.
Nova said, "Ryan, when we were on the small boat, I found a 'Level 3 Mental Talent' bud that was misdiagnosed, so I brought him back. Be more careful next time."
Nova's words implied that he wouldn't report Ryan for what he had done.
Upon hearing this, Ryan said, "Thank you for helping me correct some mistakes."
"However, Senior Nova, I already have enough students to take on, so I'm sorry I can't accept him as a student."
"That's a pity," Nova said. "I'll ask the wizards on other wizard ships if they'd be willing to take him on as a student."
Nova then led Leo toward the other wizard ships.
Ryan stared at Leo's departing figure, his gaze somewhat cold.
Nova led Leo to a wizard ship.
Nova stepped forward and said, "Hello, Wizard Almon."
The wizard said, "Hello, Wizard Nova."
Nova said, "Actually, we have an extra student with a level 3 mental talent on our wizard ship. Since we already have enough students, we wanted to ask if you would be willing to accept him."
"Level 3 mental strength?" The wizard was initially delighted, but upon seeing Leo's silver hair and tall figure, his joy visibly vanished: "I'm sorry, Wizard Nova, I already have enough students here."
"All right."
Afterwards, Nova, along with Leo, inquired about most of the wizard ships.
However, not a single wizard was willing to accept Leo.
Most of them refused on the spot after seeing Leo's silver hair.
Nova said, "Danville, there's only one wizard left. If she's not willing either, then I can only express my regret."
Leo quickly said, "Lord Nova, you have already helped me a lot."
Nova said, "Whether it's your level 3 mental talent or your talent in potion-making, you have considerable potential as a wizard. You can consider the help I'm giving you today as an investment in your future."
"Of course, that's on the condition that someone is willing to take you on as a student later."
Upon hearing this, Leo's face turned somewhat bitter. He hadn't expected that the Pros people's faces after his transmigration would be seen as almost like rats in the street by the wizards of the Tower of Dawn.
This also made Leo very curious about what those Pros people who came to the Tower of Dawn had actually done.
When Nova brought Leo to the last wizard ship, his brow furrowed slightly.
The wizard ship had suffered considerable damage.
Beside the wizard ship, there were only two or three wizard seedlings and a witch in a white robe.
"Sally the Wizard"
"Senior Nova."
Sally showed a degree of respect when she met Nova.
Nova asked, "I want to find your mentor."
"I'm sorry, Senior Nova, we were attacked by other wizards at sea, and our mentor went missing during the battle. May I ask what brings you to see our mentor?"
Sally said with a bitter expression.
Upon hearing this, Nova frowned and said, "Actually, we have a wizard budding with level 3 mental talent who can't find a mentor yet."
Upon hearing this, Sally looked Leo up and down. She didn't seem to mind Leo's Prosian identity and said with delight, "Lord Nova, many of our young wizards were abducted during the battle. We are indeed very short of talented young wizards now."
"If you'd like, could you hand him over to me?"
"However..." Sally's voice suddenly lowered, as if she was a little embarrassed, "Until the mentor returns, I will have to take over the guidance for the time being."
Nova asked, "Leo, Sally is only a wizard who has recently become a wizard, so her teaching experience should be lacking."
Leo quickly replied, "I have no objection, Lord Nova, Lady Sally!"
Leo doesn't care about his future at all; he just wants someone to take him in and let him stay in the Tower of Dawn.
