not long after, the waiter came with a tray and carefully placed the tea set on the table. the waitress was then about to ask sean if he wanted to order anything as well, however, she was startled once she realized who the man was. instantly the waitress's face turned red from the mix of excitement and shock, "oh my...uhm, mr. lockwood, would you like anything?" the waitress looked flustered even though she tried to keep her professionalism.

sean was already used to the waitress's reaction therefore he didn't pay attention to it, "can i have double espresso,"

"right away sir!" the waitress's voice noticeably higher as she was too excited.

the waiter left with a giddy expression obviously she was very excited to have the opportunity to interact with a big celebrity like sean, after all, sean was known as the heartthrob of every woman, therefore, the waiter's reaction was expected, on the contrary, he didn't expect the bland reaction from the woman sitting across from him.

sean could understand that not all people would be excited about meeting him maybe because she was a hunter thus she didn't care about a celebrity like him even so, the woman didn't look curious, suspicious, or even wary of his sudden approach only a bit...impatient.

sean watched lory spoon three sugar cubes into her tea. one can imagine how sweet it could be thus sean subconsciously commented, "isn't that too sweet for you?"

lory didn't even bother to glance at him, lory then proceeded by adding two teaspoons of honey to his tea after that she slowly stirred the tea slowly with a blank expression. once she was done she continued by taking off her sunglasses and putting them on the side after that she lifted the tea mug with both hands and then took a a long sip. once the sharp sweetness hit her tongue, lory could feel all his senses finally awakened.

lory took a deep breath after feeling a little better after getting her sugar intake for the day. lory then realizes the piercing gaze at her face she then turns her gaze towards the handsome man with sharp ice-blue eyes. lory studied the man in front of her for a short time before she concluded that this man was still far inferior to her husband in both appearance and demeanor.

in the end, no man is better than her husband!

"what do you want besides disturbing my morning, mr. wood?" at other times lory might be friendlier but this morning she was in a cranky mood, she wasn't in the mood to make small talk with anyone.

sean was surprised at how blunt lory was but instead felt annoyed he thought it was quite refreshing, "it's lockwood, you can call me sean"

lory raised her eyebrows, she wondered why this man was acting so friendly with her, "if you don't have a purpose i hope you can leave, i want to enjoy my breakfast."

"what a coincidence, i haven't had breakfast either," a charming smile swiped across sean face.

since she was in a bad mood, lory didn't bother to be polite, hence she bluntly said: "i mean alone, mr. wood" lory deliberately mispronounced his name to show her displeasure.

instead of being angry sean guffawed later, he looked at lory in amusement "pardon me, i thought you were a kind and generous person, miss jane"

"then i want to see what she will do when she really gets you," andreas said with a mocking tone.

sean sips the coffee ignoring andreas's comment, he smacks his lips before slowly putting down the coffee cup after that his expression becomes serious, "so, what information do we get about my feisty girl?"

"interestingly.... nothing" andreas paused for a second before he continued "and not only her, i got the same results about the other two men that follow her"

sean's brows knitted together forming a question "nothing? really?"

"sorry, i mean nothing concrete," he corrected it, "the information says garrof colt and lloyd sloan were class a hunters before and after the war, they took many dangerous jobs from various guilds, it said they are from the gregorian city. they don't have families, children, wives, girlfriends, or anything that can confirm their identity, in short, there is nothing that stands out in their profile but that also means that most likely this information is fake, who knows if that even their real name, that's why i said we don't have definite information about them,"

"what about miss jane?" sean continues.

"even worse, we couldn't find their picture nor her husband, i think someone is deliberately covering their tracks, therefore further investigation is needed to ascertain the background."

"yeah, we have to do that" sean was adamant.

not long after the waitress comes delivering another cup of coffee. after the waitress left andreas continued their conversation "so, do you still want to recruit her despite knowing nothing about her? from how it looks she won't be easy to persuade either,"

sean turned quiet as he calculated his next moves, though he knew it wouldn't be easy to persuade her however the woman's abilities and character aroused his interest greatly as he rarely met someone who was not only had a powerful gift but also able to remain calm and cool-headed under enormous pressure, especially at a time like this when people like her quality is almost scarce, thanks to the dark ages war that caused many powerful people to die.

"you witnessed her abilities yourself, are you willing to let such a great talent go, just like that?" sean believes andreas thinks the same way as him.
