Chapter 140: Sealing The Deal
Chapter 140: Sealing The Deal
Chapter 140: Sealing The DealRiyala could not understand anything being said by the actors in the show, but the acting and movement were so expressive and interesting that she could somehow follow along without understanding!
Gina could already tell that Riyala was a very calm and collected person who never expressed too much emotion, but right now, she couldn’t help but see Riyala as just any other girl. Gina walked closer and sat down beside Riyala while leaning back on the Moonlight Wolf. Riyala turned in surprise as Gina handed her a can of soda and Riyala took the can cautiously with her eyes narrowed in curiosity! Riyala tried opening the top of the can like it was a jar, and Gina quickly stopped her since she knew that Riyala would be able to do just that! Riyala was as strong as a high-level C Rank or maybe even a B Rank, so tearing a can in half would be easy for her!
"You do it like this."
Gina showed Riyala how to open the can, and Riyala followed along and recoiled in surprise when the can fizzled open! Gina took a sip and gestured for Riyala to do the same. Riyala looked skeptical, but she eventually took a sip as well!
"Cough! Cough! It’s so foamy!"
Riyala exclaimed in her language, and even though Gina couldn’t understand her, the look on Riyala’s face was enough to make Gina burst out in laughter! Riyala’s reactions to things on Earth were priceless!

A far distance away, on the other side of the city, a shadow moved across the street away from the prying eyes of the civilians. The Phantom and his Mana Hound had made their way through two cities in the past day. New Jersey had been filled with multiple magic-wielding humans because of the new Gate that appeared there, so it had been hard for them to pinpoint the perfect path to follow out of the city, but once they managed to get past New Jersey and entered New York, things were a lot easier. New York was a hub for regular humans who were involved in all the businesses there, so they didn’t have any mana that would obstruct the Mana Hound from picking up the princess’s mana signature. They were able to move through New York at a quick pace and only stopped at one point when the Mana Hound noticed a small residue of the princess’s mana close to the New York subway station.
The lizard-based phantom looked around at all the people in the subway and didn’t see anyone with a mana signature matching the princess, so they continued on their way. The princess’s mana signature was getting stronger the further they went and by the time they made it into Riverdale, the Mana Hound had honed in on the princess like a shark smelling blood in the water!
The Mana Hound had almost come out of the shadow and ruined their cover, but the lizard-based phantom stopped it and made sure it calmed down before they continued their
Vroom!
Jason made his way through the city on his bike as he headed for his mother’s restaurant. Earlier this morning, Jason got a call from Juliet telling him that the deal was ready for his signature. Jason made sure to go with a third-party lawyer that he found online just to make sure that the deal was actually what they agreed on, and after the lawyer ensured that there were no loopholes or hidden clauses in the document, he signed.
The entire process took more than five hours and now it was almost two in the afternoon. Jason gave three hundred Magic Crystals to the Tenet company. Two hundred and twenty of them were small crystals from the Adamantine ant workers and the other eighty of them were medium-sized crystals from the Adamantine Ant Scouts and soldiers. The actual prices of the crystals came to one hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the smaller crystals, five hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the crystals from the Adamantine Ant Scouts, and seven hundred thousand dollars for the crystals from the Adamantine Ant Soldiers.
The prices were a lot better than what Jason thought they would be mainly because of how well he had extracted them from the dead bodies of the monsters. Even Juliet had to admit that they weren’t paying Jason enough given how well extracted the crystals were. But they couldn’t pay more since they just wouldn’t be able to finance the purchase if they did. At the end of the deal, the total sum payment came down to eighty million dollars, and when they took off the thirty percent that belonged to Tenet, Jason was walking away with fifty-four million dollars.
It would have been higher than that if Jason hadn’t given them a higher percentage in exchange for company shares, but he knew that it would be beneficial in the long run, so he didn’t mind losing a couple million now to gain hundreds of millions in the future.
