Chapter 542: My Nature

Chapter 542: My Nature

"Fuck, he’s a gifted!" the leader roared, pulling out a gun and pointing it at me, as if that would work.

Sometimes people were just too stupid to read the atmosphere , and I had to remind them to use their few remaining IQ.

"A gun in Korea for just robbing ? Wow, the world really did change a lot," I chuckled aloud, amused that even my beloved peaceful country had become so lenient with guns.

"Since when did South Korea follow the Second Amendment?" I asked in a sarcastic tone.

The leader’s face twisted with frustration and fear. My calm and casual attitude made him even more uneasy.

"Stop talking and let us out!" he shouted, his voice filled with anger, though he couldn’t hide his fear.

Sweat beaded on his face, and his trembling pistol showed his anxiousness. Guns might have been powerful weapons once, but with the rise of Gifteds, they had become mere toys.

"Are you sure you want to shoot someone who managed to trap you in a loophole?" I asked with a grin. "I mean, that’s like, throwing rocks at a tank . Come on, think it through."

The leader’s face soured, unsure how to respond to my sarcasm.

The other thugs took a step back, their eyes widening in fear. One of them muttered, "What the hell are we dealing with?"

Another thug’s hands began to shake, and he glanced around nervously, as if searching for an escape route. "This is bad," he whispered.

The burly guy with the shaved head, who had poked me earlier, looked at the leader with a mix of anger and fear. "Put that away, man! You’re just gonna make things worse!"@@@@

I raised an eyebrow at the burly guy’s intervention, my grin widening slightly. "Listen to your friend .He’s got a point. "

The leader paused, his eyes narrowing as he considered the situation.

"Would you let us go if we apologized?" he asked nervously, hoping for a way out of the mess they had gotten themselves into.

I leaned against the wall, pretending to consider his question.

He swallowed hard, his eyes pleading. "We... we have families," he managed to get out.

"Ah, the classic appeal to humanity," I said, my grin returning. "But what’s the point of that when you’ve shown none yourselves?"

The leader, seemingly regaining some of his courage, took a step towards me, his empty gun pointing at my chest. "You can’t just kill us," he spat.

"Of course, I can," I said, shaking my head.

Then, I revealed my other form. The leader’s pistol slipped from his hand when he recognized me—the same person he had seen on the big screen, destroying an entire city.

"I told you, didn’t I? I’m the god of this world, and yet you’re all too stupid to get it," I sighed, my voice filled with disappointment

The leader fell to his knees, eyes wide with terror. The other thugs quickly followed suit, dropping to the ground and bowing low, their fear palpable.

"Please, forgive us," the leader begged, his voice trembling. "We didn’t know. We had no idea."

"No idea? The number of times I told you I’m a god can’t even be counted on one hand," I said, shaking my head in disbelief.

Still on his knees, the leader stammered, "We’re sorry! We were wrong! Please, forgive us."

The other thugs echoed his plea, their voices trembling with fear. "We won’t bother you again, we swear!"

"Oh, don’t worry. You’ll never bother me permanently," I chuckled, my tone becoming more sadistic by the moment.

They shivered, clearly fearing the worst.

"We were wrong. Please, just let us go. I have a younger sister who is sick, and if I die, no one will take care of her," the youngest thug whispered, barely audible. "Please, I’m not lying !"

"I know. I can tell you’re not lying," I replied, my tone becoming more calm. Experience tales at novelhall.Côm

"So you won’t kill me?" he asked, his tone hopeful.

I pondered for a moment before replying, "That would be boring. How about this. I’ll kill you slowly, but in return, I’ll cure your sister?" I suggested. "Or, I’ll spare you, and then kill your sister instead? You decide."
