Chapter 524: Playing God Part 2

Chapter 524: Playing God Part 2

’Now let’s start with the other variants,’ I muttered to myself .

Methodically, I began transforming them one by one into various types of elves, each with their own different specialties and traits.

After 12 hours of dedicated work, I finally finished making a total of 8 unique variants, each possessing its own individuality.

To make them easier to distinguish, I wrote down their characteristics and other information in a book.

This way, I could quickly reference their unique traits and abilities.

I also gave each variant with innate talents and specialties, ensuring that each one excelled in something different from the others.

This added layer of diversity and specialization would make things more interesting and varied in the future.

’I’m so creative,’ I chuckled to myself, gazing at the view from outside the giant glass tubes.

Though they were still sleeping, I could already admire my creations and envision the endless possibilities for the future.

The transformation left them resembling monstrous hybrids, a horrifying mix of human and feline traits gone awry.

To fix this issue, I started infusing their DNA with my own touch, making them more humanoid while retaining their distinctive cat ears, tails, and fur in certain private areas.

In the end, I decided to create three modes of transformation for them.

The first shift would retain their human body, but they would gain animal ears and a tail.

The second shift would make them more furry, with extending claws, bulging muscles, while still maintaining their human shape.

The final shift, the third one, would result in a complete transformation into monstrous beings akin to werecats.

I continued this process with additional animals: wolves, aquatic creatures, birds, reptiles, and dozens others, expanding the Beastfolk race to include over 50 animal families.

With their rapid reproduction rate and capacity to evolve and diversify, if left unchecked, they would emerge as the most dominant and diverse race solely in terms of population.

To maintain balance, I adjusted their lifespan to be much shorter, with a maximum of only 60 years.

And unlike the Elves, who experienced time at a faster pace, the Beastfolk had a much slower perception of time.

As a result, their 60-year lifespan would feel longer than it actually was in reality.

After completing the DNA modifications, I shifted my focus to their psychological traits.

A true Beastfolk wouldn’t be complete without a berserk ability, so I ensured to include it in their genetic makeup.

But I didn’t stop there—I also gave them the ability to form strong bonds and imprint themselves with individuals they trust.

In addition, I incorporated a genetic trait where female Beastfolk would periodically secrete hormones, inducing a strong sexual drive akin to that of real animals.

Unlike humans, they would lack any sense of marriage or partnership, solely focusing on reproduction.

Basically, males would compete for the opportunity to mate with a female Beastfolk, while females would be attracted to those they perceive to possess stronger genes.

Love would play no part in their psychology; rather, their instincts would be driven purely by reproduction.

Adding this trait was a deliberate choice, driven by my curiosity to observe how it would impact their behavior and evolution over time.
