Chapter 510 First Encounter
Chapter 510 First Encounter
"Are you okay?" I asked Shao Mi.
She was struggling to stand up, but the pressure weighed heavily on her
Particles of light began to form around her body, revealing the tremendous effort she was exerting to prevent herself from face-planting onto the floor.
I could understand her frustration.
This place felt as if we had just stepped into a gravity chamber used for training
The gravity had magnified our weight by 2000 times.
While I remained relatively unaffected, Shao Mi, accustomed to relying on her powers, found it particularly challenging due to her lesser physical strength.
"Here" I offered her my hand.
"Don't... just focus on finding the culprit. They might attack us if you give them an opening," she answered, her voice strained with effort.@@@@
Why was she so stubborn?
I was just planning to apply some anti-gravity aura to her body to make it lighter. It wouldn't even be a bother at all.
Observing her determination to tough it out and her renewed pride now that her power was back, I chose to let her be. Enjoy new tales from My Virtual Library Empire
Allowing her to face this challenge alone might lead her to appreciate my help more in the future.
Besides, this could serve as excellent training for her.
"What's a god like you doing in a place like this?" A voice echoed around us, oddly blending both male and female tones, making it impossible to discern its gender.
But one thing was certain: this being wielded immense power and had a keen insight into people.
It didn't take long for it to figure out my true identity as a handsome and very powerful god, clearly recognizing how awesome I was.
"A god?" Shao Mi was the first to speak.
Despite the struggle, she managed to stand up, utilizing 50% of her power to create a tight suit barrier made of light around her body. Now, she was glowing like a real angel.
"Yeah, I think it's referring to me," I replied, feeling a bit bashful.
"You said you're a Supreme Archmage?" Shao Mi raised her eyebrows.
"It's because I'm a very humble person, so calling myself a god felt off," I responded .
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Don't be too violent. I apologize," it started squealing like a pig.
"So why do you keep calling me a god?" I asked.
"What do you mean? You're clearly using pure Origin Energy, only gods could use this type of energy. I have seen a lot of beings like you in my lifetime," it replied.
"Oh, you know a lot of interesting information; you can even sense my energy even though I was hiding it," a chuckle escaped my lips.
To think I would encounter such an intriguing creature.
If it was telling the truth, then I was right in my hypothesis that the universe had a lot of beings that are equally powerful as me.
"So what are you?"
The slimy creature refuse to speak, forcing me to use some diplomacy to coax it into talking.
"You have a choice, either you answer me or I make you go away," I warned firmly.
"I'll talk! I'll talk. My name is Mirru, and I'm a Morphian, a species that can create space portals," it answered quickly, afraid that I would really kill it.
"Morphian.... portals.." I trailed off as I pieces everything together." So you're the one responsible for those portals in Earth ,"
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Zelly forced me to create those !!!" Mirru pleaded, wriggling in my grasp, its cowardice visible for me to see.
"No shit, Sherlock. Something like you wouldn't even have the guts to do it. But I'm curious about your ability. Tell me how it work ?"
"I'll tell you....I'll tell you.... Morphians are the best of the best in terms of long distance teleportation, and we can create portals that connect planets millions or even billions of light years away," it replied with a prideful tone.
This thing was actually bragging about teleportation in front of me?
I wanted to demonstrate that it was not the only expert in the field. However, I was genuinely curious about what it had said.
Millions or even Billions of light years away?
I could do that too, if I just focus on a straight line, but finding a planet was the hard part.
It was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
The vastness of space was overwhelming, so much so that I refrained from going on an expedition before I was bored in Earth.
"So how exactly do you do it?" I inquired, while attempting to probe its mind, only to find that this creature lacked one.
Whatever constituted its consciousness was metaphysical in nature.
