Chapter 498 Fine Wine

"What happened?" Shao Mi inquired, noticing my brief pause.

"Nothing," I replied, knowing it was something unrelated to her.

I just wanted to know the location of the Zol Clan because I was concerned about Zayen. She was still my wife, so I wanted to at least rescue her if she was in trouble.

As for my son?

Well, I didn't really consider him my son anymore. Biologically speaking, this body I have right now doesn't even share the same DNA.

And memory-wise, I didn't even have any memories of him.

Maybe because when the being that created my system transformed me, it created a completely different person altogether.

Thinking about it carefully, I think everything that happened in my life prior to awakening the system was intentional.

Even the bullying part, so I would grow into a sadistic, power-tripping , vengeful and selfish person.

Because, to be honest, only a heartless individual would choose to destroy the multiverse without batting an eye like me.

But that was a topic long gone, and it was better to focus on the present.

If he expressed a desire to be rescued, I'd consider taking him along with his mother.

However, if he dared to speak nonsense in my presence, I'd ensure he learned a thing or two.@@@@

"So, what's your next plan after this?" Shao Mi inquired.

"Well, for now, I still have some things to take care of, so I'll be taking my leave," I replied.

"I also think it's better for you to stay here for a while," I added.

Shao Mi raised her eyebrows, a clear sign that my answer didn't quite satisfy her.

"I think this place is not safe anymore. After what you did to them, I'm sure they would send more people," Padae interjected.

Amazon was located in America, so this place location was already compromised .

"Don't worry, I have a plan," I assured her with a wink.

Then, I instructed them to call all Amazonians back to the city.

Everyone instinctively knelt on the ground, gasping for breath after feeling the sheer force of my power. It was overwhelming, too much for them to withstand.

Now, they understood that with a mere thought, I could easily kill everyone.

"Do you believe me now?" I asked Padae after retracting all the mana back into my body.

"I... I believe you," she nodded reluctantly while gasping for air.

What she had experienced was proof enough of my power.

"Good."

With all the preparations done, I raised my staff and began chanting in the original language I had developed for my Magic Academy.

As I spoke in a language they couldn't comprehend, golden text appeared around me, the manifestation of the magic formula I had developed.

This time, I was actually using a real spell, something that could be learned in the Academy if someone put enough effort.

"High Tier Defense Magic, Arcane Sphere!" I chanted, and a golden light emerged from within my staff, expanding until it covered the whole city.

When it was done, the golden barrier vanished out of thin air, becoming invisible.

After that, I placed a mark on everyone, and a golden circle tattoo appeared on their necks.

"Done. As long as you stay here, you won't be hurt," I explained, reassuring them of their safety within the barrier.

"Are you sure? They might use nuclear bombs and other weapons of mass destruction," Padae asked, expressing her concern.

"Don't worry too much. It will hold long enough for me to get back," I responded with a chuckle.

This was no ordinary barrier. While it might be weaker than my Advanced Energy Projection, a nuclear bomb wouldn't be able to penetrate it too easily.

"Besides, my wife is here, so I made this thing much more durable," I declared, teasing Shao Mi with a playful smile .

"Whose wife? I never agreed to that!" She protested, feigning resistance, but the blush on her face showed her true feelings.

I could easily take her to bed right now, but instead, I chose to preserve her virginity for now.

To me, she was like a fine wine, and I wanted to savor every bit of her.

The longer I nurtured her feelings, the deeper our connection would become, and the more fulfilling it would be once I make her totally mine.
