Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 490 Queen's Pride

Chapter 490 Queen's Pride

The aftermath of the collision leveled the whole place, what used to be a lush green forest before become a huge crater . The whip's ability to boost her attack power was really amazing.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature couldn't say the same, as she just got whip-lashed, quite literally.

'Something's definitely off,' I mused, unable to tear my eyes away from Padae's body. I mean, every time she uses that whip, her... um, huge assets move, so it'd be weird if I didn't look, right?

Joking aside.

She was visibly exhausted from just that one attack, which was weird because I could tell she still had a lot of mind power to spare.

"Let's see," I simulated everything that happened in my memory.

When she unleashed the attack, she didn't just use her mind power; she also sacrificed a lot of her vitality.

'A weapon that drains the user's vitality?' I mused inwardly, making mental notes of it.

That weapon might be useless to me, but it could be useful for my future Magic Academy. More knowledge would certainly make my curriculum more diversified.

When the dust cleared, Harvey's group remained in the crater's center, visibly damaged but still standing.

Their robotic bodies incurred some burns and scratches, but it was all superficial.

I doubted it even affected their overall combat abilities. It just showed that the weak barrier they made was at least capable enough to protect them to a certain extent.

CLICK

CLICK

CLICK

Suddenly, I heard a low clicking sound reverberating from within their bodies, and out of nowhere, the scratches they had gotten began to repair themselves in real time.

'Nanomachines!' I couldn't believe how advanced the United States of America's weapons were. This was totally unexpected.

Nanomachines are super tiny, like seriously small, measured in nanometers, which are like the tiniest measurements ever, like a billionth of a meter.

They're basically microscopic robots that can be program to do all sorts of stuff at the tiniest level possible.

Picture them as these itsy-bitsy machines made up of even smaller bits, like atoms and molecules, and they can zip around, communicate with each other, and do their thing in whatever environment they're in.

CRACK!

He barely managed to dodge it, but she was quick to follow up with another attack.

She spun around, wrapping the end of the Whip around his ankle.

He tried to kick off the ground, but she held onto it tightly. She grinned, knowing she had him now.

Next, she pulled him closer, preparing to deliver a powerful blow with her free hand.

But as she was ready to strike his face, Padea felt a searing pain in her shoulder as another assailant landed a surprise blow from her blind spot, sending her hurtling through the air.

"Harvey, watch out. Her weapon ain't normal," warned a man with dark skin and curly hair, his power just as formidable as Harvey's.

"I know, I just lowered my guard a little," Harvey replied, trying to brush off his mistake.

SWOOOOSH!

He flew towards her, who was still stabilizing her footing, and unleashed a relentless barrage of laser beams.

In response, she spun her whip, creating a barrier to redirect the laser beams.

'She won't be able to last long,' I muttered to myself, observing her life force getting drained under the pressure. She was pushing herself well beyond her limits.

An urge to intervene and save the day surged within me, but I knew I had to wait for Shao Mi to reveal herself.

Patience was key.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Harvey continued with his relentless high powered attack, keeping her on the defensive, denying her even a moment's rest.

"Surrender now, and I might just consider sparing you," he offered.

"I would never surrender to a man!" Padae replied stubbornly, her pride as the Amazonian Queen engraved in her bones.
