Chapter 429 White Eyes
Chapter 429 White Eyes
Incheon Port
Teleporting directly to the place Anna mentioned, I couldn't shake off the feeling that meeting her during a random jump was anything but a coincidence.
The chances were too low and impossible .
It occurred to me that perhaps my abilities had evolved to a point where my intuition was guiding me without my conscious awareness.
My Cognitive Overdrive, a combination of four mental enhancing abilities, might be the catalyst for what had happened. It seemed highly possible that my intuition had influenced my selection of location at that particular moment.
Regardless of the answer, I chose to prioritize the task at hand. Saving Mio was my immediate concern, as acquiring her power was important .
In front of me stood a massive warehouse, housing a plethora of imported goods from Europe. While Anna's parents were known for their involvement in the hotel industry, this logistics business served as a front for their illegal drug operations.
I wouldn't have bothered to come here on my own if they hadn't kidnapped Mio. Frankly, I couldn't care less about their drug dealings; it's all the same to me. But by targeting one of my own property, they've sealed their own fate.
'Where are you?'
With my Advanced Map Tracker in hand, I meticulously scanned the entire area. Now all I needed to do was pinpoint Mio's exact location and execute the rescue plan.
As anticipated, armed individuals patrolled the premises. But their size and influence meant nothing to me; I saw them as nothing more than insignificant ants. This mission would be a walk in the park.
'Found you,' I muttered under my breath as I spotted Mio imprisoned inside a heavily fortified metal container.
'She should be able to escape with her powers,' I mused, puzzled.
Given her ability to control time, she should have been able to age the metal enough to weaken it and break free. It didn't make sense why she was still trapped there.
'Or maybe that metal is made of a special material?' I pondered silently. It seemed like the only logical explanation for why she hadn't been able to escape using her powers.
After pondering the situation, I used quick teleportation to directly go to her location, just outside the metal container.
"Who are you?" One of the guards spoke up, but with a mere thought, I reduced them to little more than meat paste.
Her long, jet-black hair flowed down her back, showing her delicate features. Her eyes, pure white, seemed to hold a mysterious depth, while her pale skin added an ethereal quality to her appearance.
She was dressed in a simple yet elegant school uniform, the crisp lines and neat design accentuating her graceful demeanor.
The school uniform she wore consisted of a tailored red blazer with gold-trimmed lapels, complemented by a crisp white button-up shirt underneath. A matching pleated skirt fell to just above her knees, giving her a classic and modest look.
"I'm here to save you," I reached my hand to help her, but before I could processed anything, she suddenly vanished from my sight.
It wasn't teleportation; Mio had used her ability to stop time, allowing her to escape while I was frozen in place.
'You think you can escape me?' I chuckled inwardly.
Using my map tracker, I quickly located her whereabouts. With a quick teleportation, I pulled her back to me.
However, this time I didn't give her a chance to react. I made her lose consciousness before she could use her abilities again.
"You're really light," I whispered into her ear as I carefully held her in my embrace.
With Mio safely in my arms, my mission was finally complete.
"Now, it's time to destroy this place," I declared, unleashing my abilities to conjure a flame ball in front of me.
At first, it burned a deep red, then shifted to a dull red, before blazing into bright red flames. The flames then transformed into fiery orange, followed by a brilliant yellow, and finally settled into a blazing white inferno.

"Burn everything," I muttered under my breath before teleporting out of the place, leaving behind a trail of destruction in my wake.
BOOOOOOOM!
The fire crackled and roared as it engulfed the whole place, consuming everything in its path with a fierce intensity.
So many people, innocent or guilty, died because of my mood.
"You just had to touch what was mine," I sneered in disdain before flying out of the place.
