"My mom’s at home making dumplings. I came down to take out the trash for her."

"MEOW..." the other responded.

After trading their parting shots, the Little Black Cat and the Little White Cat each went their separate ways.

As for whether they would, as their words suggested, fight again another day—that remained to be seen.
